Senior Accounts Payable Specialist with German and English

Our client, a global leader in aviation ground handling and airport services, is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist with German and English.

In this role, you will join the Finance Operations team in a global environment, working closely with internal stakeholders and cross-functional finance teams.

Responsibilities
– Ensure accurate and timely processing of bank statements, accounts payable transactions, accruals, and general ledger entries;
– Support VAT reporting, month-end and quarter-end closing activities, and accounts receivable processes when required;
– Act as a subject matter contact for complex accounting topics, supporting junior team members and ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables;
– Identify and implement opportunities to improve, standardize, and digitize accounting processes, controls, and reporting;
– Contribute to finance transformation and automation initiatives, including the implementation of digital documentation and data management solutions.

Requirements
– At least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, including significant experience in accounts payable;
– Solid knowledge of bank postings, accruals, general ledger accounting, month-end closing, and financial reporting processes;
– Strong analytical, structured, and detail-oriented working style, with the ability to work independently, lead by example, and support junior team members in an international environment;
– Fluency in German and English.
