Solar Power Plant Dispatcher
Our client is an established leader in the energy sector, operating modern electrical infrastructure and power facilities. To ensure high standards of operational reliability and continuous power management, they are looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Dispatcher / Power System Operator to join their central control room team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute real-time remote control of energy facilities via SCADA systems and direct field-based emergency repair units.
- Track, analyze, and maintain prescribed operational parameters across electrical grid systems and equipment.
- Perform operational duties in a centralized control room following an approved shift rotation (including day, night, and 24-hour shifts).
- Promptly notify technical management and engineering staff regarding system events, grid fluctuations, or emergency disruptions.
- Direct equipment isolation, de-energization, and safety lockouts; issue work permits and approve site access for maintenance crews.
- Coordinate and deploy field repair response teams to resolve operational faults efficiently.
- Maintain accurate operational logs and safety registers in both paper and electronic formats.
Candidate profile:
- Secondary specialized or University degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or Automation.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience within the electrical power sector or grid operations.
- Valid Level V (5th) Qualification Group under applicable electrical safety regulations (PABZREUETCEM / health & safety rules for electrical installations).
- Readiness to work structured shift rotations, including 12-hour and 24-hour coverage.
- Strong organizational skills, high resilience under pressure, exceptional safety discipline, and a collaborative team mindset.
