GCP Operations Engineer

Exceed is looking for a skilled GCP Operations Engineer on behalf of a partner company.

In this role, you will design, build, secure, and manage cloud-native and hybrid platforms, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will deploy customer environments, provide technical guidance, and translate architectural requirements into reliable cloud solutions that meet enterprise standards for security and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage cloud-native and hybrid environments using GCP.
• Deploy and configure customer cloud environments in line with technical and business requirements.
• Maintain the security, reliability, and operational efficiency of cloud platforms.
• Design, deploy, and manage containerized solutions.
• Configure and maintain identity and access management, networking, backup, and configuration management.
• Provide cloud advisory services and guidance on implementation and operational best practices.
• Translate technical concepts and architectural plans into working solutions.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and data integrity requirements.
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to support delivery and resolve operational issues.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, gained through project delivery or operational support.
• Experience designing, building, and managing containerized solutions.
• Practical knowledge of identity management, networking, backup, and configuration management.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Considered an Advantage

• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
• Experience developing automation scripts for managing GCP environments.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD concepts.
• Experience designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
• Knowledge of the ITIL framework or Agile methodologies.
