Application Engineer
Our client is an award-winning global industry leader in innovative technology. With a strong international presence and multiple engineering facilities across the US and Europe, they design and manufacture advanced systems for diverse industrial applications.
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Design Engineer to join their dynamic engineering team in Sofia. In this role, you will play a key part in the design, analysis, and development of advanced power conversion and heating solutions.
Key responsibilities:
Design and analyze transformers, matching networks, and magnetic circuits for induction heating systems.
Perform electrical circuit analysis and simulations to validate and optimize designs.
Develop and test prototypes, verifying performance against specifications.
Collaborate with mechanical and software engineering teams on integrated system design.
Create and maintain technical documentation including schematics, calculations, and test reports.
Support our sales team and customers with application testing, calculations and system analysis.
Contribute to continuous improvement of existing product designs.
Candidate Profile:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Power Electronic or Physics
Strong understanding of electric circuits, electromagnetic theory, and circuit analysis techniques
3+ years of relevant professional experience
Experience with transformer design, magnetic circuit analysis, and matching network design
Proficiency with electrical simulation and design tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills in English (written and spoken)
Experience with thermal analysis and electromagnetic field simulations (FEA/FEM tools) is a plus.
Knowledge and hands-on experience in power electronics (inverters, converters, resonant circuits) is a plus.
Familiarity with induction heating principles and applications is a plus.
