FIBER OPTIC SPLICER

We are looking for a Fiber Optic Splicer with experience in the telecommunications sector to work on the installation, connection, and maintenance of fiber optic networks. The role involves fieldwork and business travel, with opportunities for long-term professional development within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and splice optical fibers;
• Install and connect fiber optic splice closures, distribution boxes, and patch panels;
• Perform measurements and verify the quality of fiber optic connections;
• Identify and repair faults in fiber optic infrastructure;
• Work from technical diagrams and project documentation;
• Document completed work and measurement results;
• Coordinate with technical teams and comply with quality and safety requirements.

Requirements

• 2+Hands-on experience as a Fiber Optic Splicer in the telecommunications sector;
• Experience in optical fiber splicing and operating a fusion splicer;
• Ability to use an OTDR and other testing equipment;
• Knowledge of fiber optic cables, splice closures, and network components;
• Ability to read technical diagrams;
• Attention to detail, a responsible approach, and good teamwork skills;
• Valid Category B driving licence;
• Willingness to undertake fieldwork and travel according to project requirements.
